CCCAA announces Southern California playoff / bowl game participants

The California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) has announced the participants for eight Southern California bowl games, including the four teams that will compete in the state playoffs. All games will be played on November 19.

Fullerton College has earned the No. 1 seed for the SCFA in the state playoffs and will host No. 4 Ventura College in the National Bowl at Yorba Linda High School's Nathan Shapell Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. In the other playoff matchup, No. 2 Riverside City College will host No. 3 Saddleback College in the Southern California Bowl. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at RCC's Wheelock Stadium.

The two winners will face off in the SCFA Championship game on Nov. 26 at the site of the highest remaining seed. The SCFA champ will move on to the CCCAA State Championship on December 10.

Western State Bowl: Bakersfield College (6-4) @ Long Beach City College (8-2), 6 pm
Beach Bowl: Moorpark College (5-5) @ Santa Barbara City College (7-3), 1 pm
Patriotic Bowl: East Los Angeles College (8-2) @ College of the Desert (6-4), 6 pm
American Division Championship Bowl: Southwestern College (9-1) @ LA Valley College (10-0), 6 pm
Golden State Bowl: College of the Canyons (5-5) @ Mt. San Antonio College (7-3) at Covina District Field, 6 pm
High Desert Bowl: Victor Valley College (6-4) @ Antelope Valley College (6-4), 6 pm
