SCFA announces Week 1 Players of the Week
The Southern California Football Association is proud to announce its first Players of the Week for the 2023 season.

Offensive: Will Madonna, Long Beach (QB, 6-2, 2-7, So., Lakewood, CA/Mayfair HS)
Madonna led the state with 440 passing yards (20-43, 0 INT) against a tough Riverside defense. His 5 touchdown passes also tied the state-high for the opening week. He threw TDs of 39, 97, 30, 65, and 28 yards. LBCC came up just short in upsetting the defending SCFA champion Tigers, 45-40.
Defensive: Eli Moulton, Pasadena City (DB, 6-0, 180, Fr., Norman, OK/Norman North HS)
Moulton made 2 interceptions for 48 yards in returns and scored a touchdown on a 15-yard fumble recovery and return in PCC's 55-35 season-opening win over Santa Ana.
Special Teams/All-Purpose: DeGabriel Floyd, East Los Angeles (DB, 6-3, 235, So., Thousand Oaks, CA/Westlake HS)
Floyd was all over the field for East Los Angeles in its win at Grossmont. On offense, he had 3 rushes for 66 yds with 3 touchdowns (22yds/rush). Floyd had a 57-yard punt return for TD on special teams and on defense, totaled 3 tackles (2 solo) and added a pair of pass breakups.
